The California Nurse Midwives Foundation is pleased to provide insight on California’s birth equity efforts, anti-racism work within midwifery as well as public education on birth-related topics and options in childbirth with a midwifery lens.
We welcome folks from a range of backgrounds including legislators, media representatives, and community organizations to reach out to us to set up an introductory call to learn how we can collaborate to disseminate important knowledge on the benefits of the midwifery model of care.

- Maternity care in CA and the US, specifically the well-documented benefits of midwifery and removing barriers to midwifery care
- Development of a diverse workforce with individuals from traditionally underserved communities and the elevation of those individuals within our profession
- Health equity policies and related legislation including out-of-hospital birth, safe transfers, and SB 1237.
